Orchard Pre-school

Newsletter November/December 2019

Dear Parents/Carers

The Pre-School committee will hold the Pre-school Annual General Meeting/ Social evening on Weds 13th November. This is an opportunity to come along and have a chat with the teachers and find out how the pre-school is run. The committee will also be electing the new committee.

During the winter months we will continue to play outside, weather permitting, so please make sure your child has a coat. It does get quite warm in the room and so it is best to dress your child in layers. Please make sure your child’s name is written in their sweatshirt.

Wellies are great for outside however the children struggle to move around the room and play on the floor with wellies on. If your child wears wellies to walk to school please bring a change of shoes for inside play.

SNACKS –Thank you for your continued support in contributing to the snack monies.

This term will be very busy with lots of things for the children to make for Christmas.

We will be having a Christmas Raffle. We would be grateful for donations of unwanted gifts etc. for raffle prizes.

The older children starting school next September will be putting on a little show and Nativity on the morning of Thursday 19th December.

There will be no normal pre-school sessions that day.

The children’s Christmas parties have been arranged for

FRIDAY 20th December.

The younger children’s party will be in the morning and the older children’s party (those starting school in Sept 2020) will be in the afternoon.

We are hoping to have a visit from Father Christmas at the parties.

This will be the last pre-school day and we will re-open on

Monday 6th January 2019.

A few reminders for you;

Do not forget to complete the form and let us know if anyone other than you is collecting your child.

As the front car park does get very busy, there is always space around the back in Oak Road. You can then walk through the pre-school garden into the centre.

Events and topics for this term are attached – for a more detailed plan please see the noticeboard.

Have a good term.

Thank you
